Maybe initially when they were getting into smoking they might have tried it but Machine made cigars and Cuban cigars are two completely different things. If you've had a Cuban cigar before, you are probably nodding your head in agreement with this statement right now. So I'll try to answer why people compare Cuban cigars and machine rolled cigars together sometimes.

Now I know you are thinking what is wrong with that? Nothing is wrong with it, it's just nothing compared to a Cuban cigar. Some people think it is a great way of getting into the genre but you know what? It is not that bad either. It all depends on what your preference is. As a Cuban cigar smoker, I stay aware from them.
You just have to ask yourself, and most importantly, try a Cuban cigar first. Since most people get intimidated by the size of an average Cuban cigar, I suggest that you don't go to crazy with the machine made cigars. They are great but not something that I would completely go for. If I didn't have any smokes, I would be going for those than and only than.
It's all about the taste when it comes to Cuban cigars, in particular the Cuban tobacco. So comparing machine made cigars to Cuban cigars should stop immediately. Cuban tobacco is piece of work that has taken thousand of years to perfect and it truly is a blessing if you had a chance to feel it on your palette.
I hope this has cleared any misconceptions about the difference between Cuban cigars and machine rolled cigars. The difference is everything but in particular it is the taste, the construction and the quality. Yes those three things make up a real Cuban cigar and anyone who has smoked them or is a regular enthusiast knows what a Cuban cigar is all about.A Cuban cigar is like a Ferrari and a machine rolled cigar is like a donkey drawn carriage with only one wheel that actually works.
