This may sound a little stuffy but I don’t comment on Blogger blogs very often because there’s little benefit for me. You won’t understand that if you’re new to Internet marketing and blogging in general. I’ll explain, when you comment on a wordpress blog your name field is hyper linked to your website address so you gain a precious backlink. Some people, actually a lot of people, use blog commenting as a part of their Internet marketing strategy. It’s a part of our online business life.

Because we do it so often and so much it’s hard to take the time to write a thoughtful comment that will help the bloggers page rank if we get nothing in return. Also working a full time job and running a business in our spare time can be tough and we have to make every minute count. It’s nothing against the blogger or the blog platform it’s just a matter of making every minute count.

I’ve met a lot of Blog commenters in the last few weeks and they all feel as I do. If some one could sell me one more hour a day life would be easier, I think.

I could easily write another thread on the benefits of a Word Press blog and it would be longer than this one. I’ll just say that there are many and when it comes to building your business with blogging it is the number one choice.

Those who have been using these sites for any length of time understand the rules and they know you can not DIGG or Stumble your own site very often or you will be kicked out. So the standard procedure is to post other peoples sites a few times and then add your own. I have seen a couple co-ops where members will Stumble, DIGG or use Onlywire to post each others websites or blog post.

This type of group effort can be good and bad. The Social sites don’t like it and it is against the rules for many. But doing it correctly no one will know the difference. So in my opinion this is a good thing. The bad part about co-ops and posting other peoples sites is the failure to post your own site at the right time.

Most of us who use social sites for promoting our business are in business to make money. We want our sites to be promoted by others and we want to promote them ourselves. So here is my tip for the day.

Always post other sites before you post your site. Get as many other sites in as appears natural. But, make the last site you post each day your own. If you are using specific keywords when you post your comments you will be helping others build their site traffic. That is a good thing especially if you are in a co-op. But when it’s all said and done your main goal is to get people to your website. By making your site the last one you post you will be doing that. First off you’ll stay compliant with the social sites by post other websites first and secondly you will make sure your site gets prime position by posting it last.
