A Recipe for Success in 4 Easy Steps

Every self development guru has a different approach to success, but what people really want is a simple recipe for success that produces results under any circumstance. I’ve been using such a formula for years. When you see how well this works, you’ll easily make this a part of your results getting routine. After a while, you’ll forget you’re actually doing it.

Every self development guru has a different approach to success, but what people really want is a simple recipe for success that produces results under any circumstance. I’ve been using such a formula for years. When you see how well this works, you’ll easily make this a part of your results getting routine. After a while, you’ll forget you’re actually doing it.

I did not come up with this idea on my own. In fact, it’s not mine. I “stole” it from the great “Personal Power II” home audio program by Tony Robbins. In short, this is a four step formula for achieving results, regardless of what it is.

The great thing about this is that it is subject matter neutral. The formula doesn’t care what you want to achieve, but there are some guidelines. The hardest part of this may be that any doubts or fears you have based on beliefs and experiences need to be put aside if this is going to work for you.

You’ll need to put all that behind you and take action regardless of doubt or fear. This is known as “getting out of your own way.”

As you know, there is power in simplicity. Just look at the invention known as the wheel. It’s so simple, yet incredibly useful as anyone who has tried to drive a car without wheels will tell you.

You might be tempted to dismiss this system when you first see it as being too simplistic, and, dare I say, too obvious. But, once you have all the ingredients in place and you begin to see results, you’ll realize this recipe for success, not unlike the wheel, possesses simple power.

Following a process such as this formula helps you stay on track. It can act as a motivation booster when you need it. Below is the four step recipe for success that will work for anything you want to accomplish.

1. Choose your outcome - You need a roadmap to follow or you won’t get where you want to go. Most people do not make good decisions. Instead they waffle back and forth, and as a result, often are at the mercy of circumstances. You must decide on what you want and then pursue it.

2. Act — You must make a second decision and decide to make a change. You must decide to take immediate action on your first decision. Then, resolve to take those actions that work toward your goal. Do this regardless of fear, doubt, or any ongoing indications that you may not get what you want.

3. Note your progress — Or the lack of it. You know where you want to go, and you’re taking action to get there. Now, is it working? Note what results you’re getting. A commercial airliner is said to be off course most of the time it’s in the air. If what you’re doing is working, then great. Make any course corrections as needed, and continue to monitor your results.

4. Model someone successful — One of the quickest ways to success is to find someone who has what you have, and then do what they did to get it. Modeling means copying what works. You can then improve upon it by monitoring your progress and adjusting.

I invite you to try this simple recipe for success for the next 30 days. Once you see that it works, please share it with a friend.
